Brain-computer interface for Second Life

I found this interesting development about how Second Life controlling system that can be connected to the player’s brain. A research team led by professor Jun’ichi Ushiba of the Keio University Biomedical Engineering Laboratory has developed a BCI system that lets the user walk an avatar through the streets of Second Life while relying solely on the power of thought.Therefore, the avatar moves around the Second life world only by the user thinking about it. For example, if the user wants his/her avatar to move to the left, all he/she has to do is think about it.

Controlling an avatar without moving a muscle…..kinda reminds me of Hiro’s adventure through metaverse in Snow Crash.
